NEW - Euroarms Reproductions - Fresh out of the box.

We are very pleased with Euroarms of America's Reproduction Rifles
because they warranty their product and have maintained their quality for over 25 years.
Should you ever need replacement parts, they are available and install with little - if any, hand fitting.

ENFIELD MUSKETS were originally manufactured in England, and shipped to both the North & South in large quantities.
The advantages of Euroarms Enfields are: .006 deep rifling from breech to muzzle, and fully adjustable sights for distance and windage. These have very straight stocks, intended for the person to squarely face their target.

COMPETITION SHOOTERS enjoy the 3 Band, 2 Band, and carbine lengths.
REENACTORS prefer the 3 Band (particularly when firing in rank).
HUNTERS prefer the 2 band and musketoon (carbine) when hunting in brush.

SPRINGFIELD RIFLES were made in America. Most Springfields started out in the hands of the North. (The Confederates managed to get their hands on quite a few) The RICHMOND RIFLE was the Southern version of the Springfield. This features leaf sights for distance, but no windage adjustment. Most Americans address their targets profile (like archers), and they find that the American style drop in the stock is more comfortable, and less likely to interfere with getting a good sight picture.
COMPETITION SHOOTERS enjoy the stock shape, and can drill the leaf for peep sights.
REENACTORS prefer the bright barrel and "American made" history of the weapon.
HUNTERS like the comfortable stock, ease of distance adjustment and accuracy.

Original 1867
Galand & Somerville
.442 Webley
$3,750.00
SOLD #P-BT-G.S - Near Mint - Unfired - with 50 rounds of ammo... This is an original 1867 Galand & Somerville revolver in near mint "unfired" condition... It is in .442 Webley caliber, also known as .44 Webley in this country... 50 rounds of new made .442 black powder loaded ammunition, in a reproduction U S Cartridge Co. box comes with this revolver... I would not recommend shooting this revolver in that it is in unfired condition... Bluing still remains in the bore and cylinder chambers. Had it been fired, this bluing would have been lost with the first shot... Accompanying the photos of this revolver is a photo of the Galand & Somerville revolver owned by Tom Custer. This cased revolver sold at auction for $77,000.00 not to long ago... An English Lord presented both Tom and his brother George with like cased revolvers as gifts to show his appreciation for a successful hunting trip they took him on in 1869... George A. Custer's Galand & Somerville revolver was missing from his collection of firearms...Please contact the owner of this firearm at: BTAYLOR18@cfl.rr.com... $3,750.00 plus shipping and insurance.

THE GUNSMITH works only on Firearms pre-1898
and reproduction Civil War muskets

The best time to call him is after dark - up until 11:00 EST.

He restores firearms - without devaluating them.
We hope to add some before and after photographs to this section very soon.

Parts Replacement

For Euroarms firearms... here is the link for Euroarms Parts.
These are not interchangable with Army Sport or Japan made muskets.
Some parts require a little fitting and/or filing.
Most modern gun smiths have no clue about the correct way to lightening trigger pulls, or make other musket lock adjustments... and they end up ruining your parts.

For Original Rifles and Shotguns... you need to speak with the gun smith. He has an amazing eclectic collection of parts which he uses to repair firearms. Not for Resale.

Stock Repair

Our gunsmith is incredibly talented at restoring and refinishing antique & modern stocks.
He has restored, repaired, and replaced:

Broken forearms * Stocks broken at the lock * Butt stock chips & cracks
Guns with stocks sawed off at the wrist (for transport via the Pony Express) * Rotted & Charred stocks
And a lot of "make-do-repairs" that were done by far less talented people.

Accurizing

WHAT OUR GUNSMITH CAN DO FOR YOUR MUSKET

Getting accuracy out of a musket using minie balls is not rocket science or voodoo. All of the following is not going to make a better shooter out of you. That takes practice. The following does give you the ability to shave points. Lets say that on a good day you can shoot an 89 on a standard 50 yd N-SSA off hand target.
89
+2 points for glass bedding
+2 points for stock work
+2 points for lock work
95 points puts you in the running.
But more important, if you miss, you know that you did it, not the rifle.

ROUGH BORES

BAD STOCK Civil War Breach Loading Carbines present different problems that can also be helped by the above.
Please call for estimates 540 888-3595

LOCKS

A grindy, crunchy, heavy, trigger pull is death to accuracy.-
We take your lock and:
  • Grind inside of plate level.
  • Engine turn (jewel) inside of lock plate and all bearing surfaces for better oil retention and slickness. (Looks nice too)
  • Install an adjustable setscrew on face of tumbler for an adjustable trigger pull.
  • Recut, polish, and blue all screws.
  • Balance all parts.
  • Re-harden parts if necessary.
Picture of a lock after it has been Jeweled. image of musket lock after being jeweled
We can JEWEL your lock.

YOU GET ALL OF THE ABOVE FOR ... COST: $85.00 ... TIME: 2-3 months
PLEASE NOTE: We have been sent locks that have been worked on by well meaning people. Often we have had to replace internal lock parts do to the damage done by these incompetent people. Replacement of lock parts is not included in the standard lock tuning fee. We will advise you of any parts replacement necessary to tune your lock.

Shipping your Firearm to us:

1. Make sure that the firearm is unloaded!
2. Package it well. - your insurance is void if packaging is substandard.
3. Use U.P.S. - They can find us. FedX will throw it over our fence 1/4 mile away from our shop in a rain storm. Post Office has 6 month wait plus a 6 month nightmare paper work system for lost packages.
4. Insure the package for full value - Those few pennys of cost determine the maximum value in case of loss or damage.
5.Adult Signature Required - All of our people are good. But, if a new driver does deliver to the wrong place- we know to whom and where.
6.If at all possible, please avoid shipping through holidays. (Christmas, Mothers Day, etc...) - Temporary unknown people are hired by shipping companies, and firearms are pretty obvious targets for theft.
7. Be sure to include a note with your name, address, phone #, and detailed list of work you want done.
